OUR TRAINERS AND TEACHERS
Stuart is the manager and founder of Wellington Surf Lessons. He is a Surfing NZ (SNZ) approved instructor and has taken courses which are accredited by the International Surfing Association (ISA) and recognised throughout the world. He has a Community Surfing Instructors Lifesaving Award and a certificate in First Aid. He has trained as a surf instructor with Peter Geers (Epic Surf School) and Lee Ryan (Surfing New Zealand) and has experience working as a surfing instructor for the local surf store, Real Surf. Stuart has been surfing for over 25 years and has loads of local knowledge, experience and patience, which has developed from many years of work in both music education and as a local surfer. He has a genuine passion for teaching his clients how to surf and providing them with a fun and memorable surfing experience.
Lisa is a trained life guard and photographer from Ireland, who has plenty of surfing experience to her credit. Lisa is originally from the Aran Islands in Ireland, which has some of Ireland's top surf breaks. She is also a member of the Lyall Bay Surf Life Saving Club and is completely dedicated to helping her students have the safest and best surfing experience possible. She offers some great surfing tips and has a high success rate of teaching people to stand in their first lesson. She is also trained in photography and is very skilled at catching great surfing pictures of her students on GoPro during the lessons. When Lisa is not coaching surfing she works as a qualified Life Coach and is part of the International Coaching Federation (ICF), she also teaches mindfulness classes in the corporate sector, as well as in schools with young kids. www.lifecoachwellington.com
